Financial Clearing House Functions
The VNFax Network serves as the Financial Clearing House for all Network Members. Financial functions performed by the VNFax Network include rate table administration and settlement accounting between the Network and all Network Member Nodes.

Rate Table Administration
For accurate settlement accounting, VNFax serves as the central point for the maintenance and administration of the Worldwide Rates and Server Schedule for the Network.

• Worldwide Rate Administration
  Using our telephony experience and volume, the VNFax Network negotiates extremely low worldwide fax termination rates. VNFax administers the Worldwide Rates for the Network.
• Local Delivery Rate Administration
  The VNFax Network negotiates with the Member for reasonably priced local Delivery Rates and pays the Member for fax delivery.

Settlement Accounting Services
The settlement accounting service performed by the VNFax Network is quite complex. All traffic to and from each Node through the Network must be accurately calculated on a per-second basis. Completed calculations determine a balance due from or to each Member Node and the Network.

• Settlement Accounting Process
  To accurately calculate settlement accounting between Nodes and the Network, we interface the NetXchange CDRs with the agreed-upon Worldwide Rate and Server Schedule and local Delivery Rates with our proprietary BOSS HQ version software.
• Settlement Reports and Statements
  The BOSS HQ version software produces two reports reflecting all fax traffic sent over the Network and/or received and delivered by the Member. These reports detail balances due to the Member and VNFax. A statement is then generated to reflect the above balances and the Member’s Usage Pre-Payment Account Balance.
